This video serves as a guide to how to appropriately dose strengthening exercises by following 5 fatigue principles:

  1. Pain symptoms (usually none)

  2. Proper form

  3. Tempo

  4. Know your potential and limits

  5. Note any abnormal symptoms

While doing a set of an exercise principles 1-4 should be consistent. When one of the 5 principles changes your body has likely worked hard enough and could use a rest break.
